replaceing brakes/rotors on ej.
like the title says I will be replacing my brake pads and rotors this laborday weekend.
So I have few concerns with the rotors possibly being seized to the hub since this seems to be a common issue. And also the screws that hold the rotors onto it. I dont know and doubt that the rotors have ever been replaced on the car and its a 94 with about 100k miles, which is why Im concerned.
an example of what I mean.

Basically Im just trying to learn from other peoples mistakes and experiences. I cant afford to not finish the job right, I'm borrowing a friends garage to do the job, so it needs to be in and out of there the same day.
If anyone has done this and can help with any suggestions that would be great.

Get an impact driver for the screws holding the rotors in place, and perhaps some pb blaster / liquid wrench to squirt on there first. An impact driver is a tool that has tips for the end (one being a screwdriver) and you hit it with a big hammer, hard, to loosen the screws. For the rotors being stuck on, just work them off with a hammer, mallet, pb blaster, just get them off. Good luck..
