okay i recently purchased some itb's off of soccaian here on HT, and i also want to go turbo has anyone eer used itb's with a turbo setup, i was planning on making an air box, but is there any real advantage to the itb's?
I had a JDM Toyota Corolla engine, factory ITBs with an airbox. Never had a turbo though. I suppose it would help get an even amount of air to each cylinder and improve throttle response, but only slightly, and not enough to be worth the cost or trouble. Those are the benefits to NA, but boost takes care of that for you. You'd have to fabricate a box that could fit and could hold the boost. So you're talking tight fitment, and good welding.
That's what the Australians call **** value. You'd have to make a strong case to convince me otherwise.
Do it and find some good use out of it. I gotta admit the idea is pretty cool.

You sir, are correct!

If you actually made it possible it would eliminate the ITB's basically. If you put an air tight box around them you just turned the ITB's into an intake manifold with no fuel rail. Sell those ITB's and spend the money on a good IM.

A friend of mine was using ITB's and a custom turbo kit on his built LS, back in 98. He built a custom sheetmetal plenum, and said the real difference was the throttle response, but as far horsepower/torque, he wasn't sure, as he never got the chance to dyno it. Kept blowing headgaskets, and he never trusted the butt dyno.
Back in the day, Scott Robinson's Honda Service Center was running ITB's turbo'd. The car was a CR-X 1.6 SOHC non-vtec back in 97-98. It was one of the first 10 Honda's to be in the high 11's low 12's. If you can find a way to pull up past issues of Sport Compact Car or Turbo, they have a close up of his engine bay. The don't mention it in the article but you can see the individuals in the picture. They were also the first to shoot nitrous through their intercooler.

do you understand the idea of ITB's? It will NOT turn it into a basic intake manifold.

Correct.
You will still benefit from the velocity provided by the ITB's, in fact it would probably multiply in a forced induction application.

Skyline had stock ITB's with turbos too.
