oil problem

im havin an oil problem, not sure whats causing it. I hafto add 2 quarts of oil every 3 weeks cuz it just dissapears. i have a small oil leak but not enough for 2 quarts in 3 weeks. im guessing its either my piston rings or my valve seals. after i wash my car like 2-3 days and the back is all black, it even gets black **** on my wing, i thought i was running too rich, not really sure??? i have stock motor, no tunning or anything. any ideas why thats happening? thanks

A lot of bone stock Rs burn oil.
A lot of bone stock Rs don't burn oil.
Search for burning oil threads and you'll see what I'm talking about.

you say you have a leak.. a visible leak? if so, where?

Check your O2 sensor, I had the black soot on the bumper and it was a bad O2

Oil consumption is usually a function of mileage, not time.

How many miles do you drive in order to lose 2 quarts of oil?
