Default Unorthodox Ultra ss

Does anybody have any feedback on installing the Ultra ss Pulley set on a SOHC motor? Is it worth the money and what can I expect?
Thanks for your time

Default Re: Unorthodox Ultra ss (94eg6)

well ive got a dohc gsr, but ive got the SS set on my engine, i think its a great mod, i deffinatly felt an increase in power, i felt like i could climb through the rpms faster too because of the crank pulley mostly i guess,

ive heard that the crank pulley does the most, and the alternator and umm well whatever other pulley comes with it do just a little bit to free up power. the only thing that i would caution you about before buying either a crank pulley or the SS set is that the stock crank pulley has some sort of harmonic balancer in it, and the unorthodox pulley doesnt, so the idle can be effected somewhat, i had to adjust my idle from my throttle body to get my idle back to a normal idle. but i have had the SS set on my gsr for about a year and a half and probably 20k miles, with no problems yet. but if i were you id check around about what people say about the whole harmonic balancer thing, or the lack there of with the unorthodox crank pulley.
