Ok i have a 94 hatchs si and its all stock, and i was coming down my street today and the speedo caught my eye went it shot to 40mph and 60mp and kept twithing all around? and it kept doing it? no engine light came on, what could cause this, i was thinking the speed sensor but havnt checked yet. ty

 

try to EG forum.
but id try the sensor in the cluster, make sure everythign is connected, and check things on the trans end.

I would check the ignitor in the distrbutor. My car did that right before the ignitor failed, got a new one, problem solved.

wouldnt a bad ignitor make the tach jump? the speedo is directly connected to the trans via the cable on 4th gens...
