Default speedometer

just got to swapiin a jdm b18b in a 94 eg copue and first week that i had it my speedometer was working just fine,.., like 3 days ago the needle just started to move by itslef and then stoped.... already check the plug and it seens fine,,, but how can i check the speed sensor or any ideas....

Check the connection on the speed sensor, it may have jiggled free. It could be getting a poor connection

x2. My VSS is bad too and it's doing the same thing. Honda wants $143 for my d-series sensor.

It could be the speedometer itself.

could be cluster or alternator making it do that. my alt was going and it did the same thing

Alternator has nothing to do with the needle going crazy...
If speedometer would be bad...it wouldn't work at all...
Needle moves like crazy = speed sensor is bad...
Needle not moving at all = speedometer is bad or needle is stuck to the gauge
Replace it or buy one on ebay for cheap...or visit the sponsors on this website and get a quote for one...
