Default Ordered a B16A1 from Osaka ( canada )

I ordered the motor about 2 weeks ago... Was told that I would receive it on the following friday. However, Florida recently had a hurricane pass through so I guess the mail service must have been delayed. Its now the following wensday after the friday which I was suppose to receive it and I still await its arrival.

Now that I read just about every single post on Osaka Im afraid to even receive the motor

Please dont let my motor be a POS

Now.. If I could redo this whole thing I would have saved the extra 200$ and went through steve at HMO.

If I get the motor and everything if fucked, can I return it?

Also... What does the truck look like that drops off the motor?

umm all i can say to you is best of luck, my friend ordered a 1jz front clip from them for his supra, he got a huge wooden crate full of junk parts, they haven't returned his calls yet, it took two months of non stop calling before he reliazed no one is calling back.

you can return it, but there will be a restocking fee im sure. i guess you will have to determine if the restocking fee and shipping it back to them is cheaper than fixing the parts you have broken/missing on your engine.

if you are super worried about where your motor is at, im sure you can call osaka, find what freight company it uses, call them, and they should be able to locate where your engine is.

and as most know, osaka and their honda motors . although, they do have decent nissan motors.

also, when you get your motor, there should be some tape of some sort around the pallet/wrap that says if there is a tear in the wrap to make sure to check the engine. 9 out of 10 times you will find a rip. you probably know where im going with this, but if there is damaged parts that need to be fixed or missing parts, maybe you can screw osaka. if worst came to worst maybe you could get something out of the shipping company for damaging your product while shipping it.

So let me get this straight.... You knew that they are the type of people that would sell their own mother with missing pieces, and yet you still ordered?

wow. You better lock all of your doors, because I think Darwin is coming for ya.

The b16a I got from osaka was in very very good shape. I got comments on how clean it was.

Some of the bad was the down pipe was cut but they shipped a replacement and the tps was broken. Other than that the motor is VERY strong.

Do you know that there are a couple importers here in central florida. Look in the sentinel or the autotrader. For future reference that is. I bought my zc from a place down off central florida parkway $500+ tax and he even loaded it for me!

Heres the deal... I wired them 1400$ on 8/6/04 (Friday at 2:30pm). They told me they would send it monday(8/9/04) seems as how it was to late friday. Understable. The day i made this topic I called and asked for the fright number... They kept telling me to call back. Finally at around 6p.m that night they gave me a false number. I called Yellow Freight ( there shipping company ) and they didnt even have a package coming from canada to my zipcode..

wtf?

I called again today ( 8/19/04) The package was just shipped yesterday, and my expected delivery date is 8/26/04

fucked up... I paid them 1400$ cash through a wire transfer and they ship my motor almost 2 weeks later

Disapointed so far. Ill update and take pics when the motor arrives
