I know that there a a few of these treads around. I even read them before I tried to deal w/ them. I heard a few bad things about them and I heard a few good things about them. So, I thought I would give them the benifit of the doubt. I placed an order for a Sir gauge cluster on Dec. 16. Finally, Jan 9. I'm able to get someone on the phone and they tell me that there sever went down and they never got the order. They instructed me to redo the order. I did. Jan. 30, I called 'em back and they said there was a mix up and they will send it out today. I said ''great". I also asked what other eg peices that had and they told me head lights for $50. So I ordered those too. I also put in a request for various interior peices. I called back today, Feb. 12 to find out where my order is and to get a tracking #. I talked to mike. I asked about my gauge cluster and headlights. He told me, he can only sell the clusters. I told him I had ordered the lights. He said no lights, he can only get the cluster. I said fine, is it already on it's way. He replied, "no. All the ones we have a crap." He kept trying to tell me he would give me a call when the got better ones in. So, I said fine and started to give him my phone # and customer # and before I could even get it out, the bastard hung up on me.

So, if anyone out there is thinking of giving them the benifit of the doubt, don't waste you time. They admit to their product that they hand select in Japan to be crap. In the mean time, I could have bought two gauge clusters and been done with it. But, I held out hope because, I thought my gauge was on the way. Anyone out there got a good deal on a SIR cluster?

But seriously thought, please, no one deal w/ those buffoons in the future. Pay the higher price from someone else and be assured that you will receive it.
If anyone from Osaka differs with this, please post. I'd rather not be hung up on again.

im really tired of reading bad **** about this company...dont get me wrong i am not saying that you shouldnt have posted TrboInteg, b/c it is good to hear about situations like this. im saying that imho from all the negative stuff ive read on this board Osaka really sucks. their main defense has been "well you only hear about the bad stuff b/c the satisfied customers dont post about good experiences" or " oh we are having trouble with employees... but i promise it will get better really soon".........
i have yet to see 5 page posts about IAS or passwordjdm blatantly ripping people off, did that petition to get Osaka banned from sponsering H-T ever amount to anything?
i will definately be taking my business elsewhere, if for nothing else than principle. **** Osaka, **** them right in the ear.

Like I said, I just wanted to give them the benifit of the doubt, that they may have made a few mistakes. I heard a lot of bad things and I heard a few people come to their defence. I didn't want to pass judgement. This is more or less for the people like me, JUST PASS JUDGEMENT. It's a lot easier.

 

I was going to buy a jdm ITR engine from them a while back. I'm glad i didn't after hearing all the negative feedback. Maybe one day they can make good on their name.

 

Yeah, that's what I thought too. After searching more, and seeing as much bad **** as I have seen on them. You'd think they would want to make a good name for themselves. But, I doubt they will.

 

I have ordered 2 swaps from them in the past 2 mos and one didn't have a half shaft and a broken sensor but it did arive in 7 days. The other has yet to come and it was ordered 16 days ago.

 

Why would you order anything after talking to them on the phone? I called them about a swap and I am 98% sure the guy I talked to (mike) referred to the flywheel as the thing that spins for the transmission. I just shook my head and hung up the phone. Osaka is forrible in my book.

yeah, I have tried to stay away from Osaka...I have heard too many bad stories to even make the good stories seem worth while. Customer service is the biggest part of a functioning business...and hanging up the phone on a paying customer is NOT quality customer service

 

about time someone said the truth about that company ..seemed shady to me from the get go and the thruth is finally out .. seems like a BBB reject

I used a credit card. So, it's already been reported to First USA. I hope they took the money off, that way they'll be looking at possible Credit card fraud. Oh well, I've learned my lesson. That's what happens when you try and give someone a second chance.
