Anyone build a new radiator support ?
Just wondering if anyone has built there own radiator support. I went to install my aftermarket duel core 92-95 half sized radiator and I quickly reallized that not only is it too tall, but the mounts on the bottom weren't right either...
So I built one, I should have Pics by tonight/this morning...

Pics might be a little ruff... I'm a really crap "photo taker"....
I used the stock "tow hook" bolt locations on the frame to attach the support. Its made of 1/8 inch mild steel ( cost me roughly $4.50 in materials )... I had to make the part that the rad sits on kinda "tilited" like a new camaro or 300zx rad, that way I would have room for the rad. outlet hose ( I almost hits the EF cross member like everything )... The extra tabs on the front are for holding the IC..
It was very easy, if your not too scared to hack the car a little ( DX civic hatchbacks aren't very rare in my parts ).

I have to trim the front bumper a little more since it does stick a little further. I may try and get some better/more pics tomorrow, but I just snapped a few before running off to work...
More Pics... Painted, intercooler mounts welded on, and almost complete ( just have to revamp a few IC pipes ).

Even more pics added... Got all the piping welded and fitted... The entire IC piping system uses 3 three III couplers !!!
A lot of work all b/c I got tired of chasing boost leaks and wastegate mis-aliment issues....

thats alot of god damn welding !! you weren't kidding about the rad being tilted.
is it me or did you chop your bumper cover up ? i see a portion of it attached in the pics or is it just like that for the 89 civic models ?

the custom bracket looks good
maybe you'll be able to sell a few if there's a demand for it.

Selling them isn't my intention... I work FULL time in a warehouse, so energy and time aren't in my favor... Plus, I doubt there will ever be a demand for something requires you to cut the stock rad. support off....
The bumper cover had to be trimmed to fit the IC the first time with the stock rad. support, which isn't a biggy since there is about 3-8 EFs in every junkyard around my house ( if I ever needed to replace it ).
Yea, that is a bunch of welding, but its a great way to get the PERFECT bends on the piping, and it doesn't retrict air flow...
