Ok well i aprked my car after a spritied drive and sometihng just didnt smell or feel right, so i look under the hood and see i am dripping a little bit of Antifreeze. It doesnt seem like alot, but enough to make me think i might need a new one.
The dumptube is like right on the fins of the radiator.
will my radiator need to be replaced like asap? or you think it will hold for a couple weekss if i take off the dumptube?
ills ee if i can post pics of the damage

just put some jb weld where its leaking should hold fine for couple weeks

The dumptube is that close to the radiator? I was like 3" away from my pwr core in my hatch...

well heres the pics, its not busted on the plastic part, its the actual fins and like bars. . .

just put some putty there jb weld putty and then just drive it till you can get a new one

well i just turned the car on at idle and noticed it didnt look lik it was leaking , so maybe the pressure from the dumptube was casugin it to leak from the rpessure from it ? i dont think it punctued bad now that i look at it , but it'll prob need replacng .
another thing i noticed is im gonna need to replace my wastegate gasket again , these things keep frying on me ? i dont knw why , when i replaced it the other weekend it looked like it sealed good, i didnt think at 1st the ring was seating correct and that was the reason for the 12st fried gasket, but this one seemed to be fine , i checked it now and leaks like a **** .

dont need a WG gasket just trash it.. jsut bolt the tial direct to it. If you really want a gasket get a delta gasket with fire ring.

really ? itll seal with no gasket? were talking about the same one right? the one that connects the wastegate to the manifold ? i woulda thought that it would leak witout it ?or at least thats what i was told.

it will nto leak without .. it should be fine.. as long as your manifold is true and your wg is surface is true. THe tial gaskets are ***.... period,.. the deltagate gaskets are the only ones that work go figure...

I can get the pics to load up, my computer is being retarded. I have an extra fire ring gasket if you need one, the turbonetics one. Its much better than the paper tial ones. BTW, you dont need a gasket.

true ? im hopng they are true? i have the maxrev maniufold and the tial , that was the other thing i was thinking is maybe the surface of the maxrev was shitity quality?

I checked mine when i had my wastegate off with a straight edge, it was perfectly plane (well to the eye at least). The tial surface was as well. Its highly unlikely that the mating surfaces would warped...

The MAX REV is not a true surface always had problems even the flanges warp a little

well last time i checked it looked good to me . . . but good call viren , I just took off the gasket and put the WG back on and seemed to selal it better. Hopefully it'll stay that way this time . I think the gasket was causing the wg not to seat right and from letting that hot air thru dicinegrated the gasket

the wg flange on my Maxrev mani isn't perfectly flat, its pretty noticeable too

If your radiator leaks alittle do the JB Weld stuff. I ran with that stuff on mine for about 9 months. You have to put it on when the car is cold and then let it cure overnight. Thats what I did. It looks nasty after that but sealed nicely.

the JB weld will hold for ever on that
