Default 94 honda civic hb dx... need help

I have a 94 hb dx. just started on the whole upgrading thing. just wondering if you guys can help me out on how to upgrade my car. I'm planning to upgrade my stock motor and was hoping if you guys can give me an advice? Is it worth upgrading it or just do a swap? My car has a cold air intake and exhaust, do I just go with the cams and boring the pistons. really have no idea.... any suggestions I will really appreciate... Thanks in advance!

depends, some SOHC guys will tell you to boost it

some others will say swap it,

its YOUR car, depends on what YOU wanna do, and what you got money for

you should definitely do a search on this. there were some really good threads covering "what should i do", etc.

ask yourself what is your goal? how much you want to spend?

for me i had about $2500 to spend and my goal was 200ish whp or more with a DOHC motor N/A, so i spend it on a b16aII swap knowing i don't have enough for b18c (gsr/type r) swap. that's me.

great resp. , it alls depends on what you into there are pluses and minuses to every setup , i personally have a 95 dx hatch and swapped to an ls , it made a huge difference and was not very expensive to do , plus a with an eg hatch you get the luxary of just bolting in any b-series motor which is great , exept for a few little fabs . needed , like like it's quoted do what you want , for your money

but i say SWAP IT

I can spend about 1 thousand $ now, should I just wait 'til I have enough money to do a swap? I don't even think that my car has a vtec sohc on it.... what are some mods that I can do with that stock engine? Thanks again!!!

Save for the swap, it will be worth it.
