H23 compression results..

Default H23 compression results..

hey guys i just got a compression test done and it read 210 across the board? what does that mean? i know the #'s are pretty high... someone said i have a lot of carbon build-up... any other suggestions?

It could be carbon build-up, but it would be unlikely that all 4 cyl's have the same amount of build up.

210 psi is definetly high for an h23.

i highly doubt there's that much carbon on there, you probably just have a good running motor, the numbers aren't that high

ok well a couple of ppl told me they were a little high.... but the compression test was done with a canadian tire 40$ tester.... so....

you can always get some combustion chamber cleaner or some
seafoam. run it through there and that **** should smoke out.
the do another compression check and see what comes up.

Don't get rid of the carbon!

Keep the compression as high as you can get!

exactly, more compression = more horsepower.

you should be happy with the numbers and not worry, when the motor needs attention from too much carbon you will know, leave it alone its doing great
