i would get a name brand catback like apexi or greddy which has 60mm or 2.34 inches pipe and have it cut to mate up with the stock header. also get a high flow carsound cat intalled too.

some people say to use 2.5, but unless that's only really necessary if you plan on bigger mods down the road or do drag racing. your top end will be better, but at the expense of some low trq which for a daily driver may not be good thing.

SOHC = 2.25
DOHC = 2.5

You'll be better off just getting a nice aftermarket cat-back system.

the h22 doesn't suffer a lack of low end really with the 2.5" exhaust as it is a bigger motor...this kind of info is geared more towards the b series motors which lack in tourque from the get go (much like the secondary intake runners)...2.25 really hurts your top end power and feels a little strained...2.5 doesn't make any problems with daily driving, personally, and still yields great top end power....

2.5" custom setup is the best and cheapest way to go~

sucks spending 480+ on a "name"brand then you got to go and have them cut it all up~
