Greddy blue box
can anybody tell me what does the blue box really do. and what is a black box. how many color box are there. i have a 92-95 greddy turbo kit. the blue box came with it. it's a fmu. now i'm getting a greddy e man so i don't need it anymore. but i was just wondering. and can you fix a 92-95 blue box to the 96-99 civic ex. cause i'm selling to this one dude and i don't know if it's gonna run and don't wanna take chance. his motor might go up in smoke. plesae let me know...........
Blue and Black.
They alter the fuel and ignition maps for boost.
Black is cali smog legal
Blue is not.
92-95 only.
Can be used on the 96+ but not legal in Cali

Because they are designed for the 7 psi that the factory turbo kit is made at.

i think the blue box control my fuel. when the blue box read boost pressure it raise the pressure in the fuel system. but i don't know how it has control over the fuel system other then contorling the injector. the problem is the injector are opening max at about 7 to 8 psi, so you can pust it anymore unless your planning on running lean. i don't don't i'm just guessing. but dose the vtec work with the box, i hear they cancel the vtec.
The GReddy kit comes at 5.5 psi. The blue box can be rewired to work on the P2P. And no, it doesn't cancel VTEC. There's a website that has the diagrams for rewiring everything. I'm having a brain fart, though, and I can't remember it right now.

6G Civic computer. Because you were wondering if the guy would be able to install it on his '96-2000 Civic, right? He will be able to use it.

Is this supposed to be a serious answer or what?

the greddy blue box is a little device that basically throws the injectors into open loop as soon as the MAP sensor reads boost, and basically keeps the motor nice and rich under boost so you can stay safe and keep your motor emissions-friendly.
Now, what some people (like me) do is up the boost a few pounds to lean out the A/F ratio a little bit so that it's 12:1 under boost, as opposed to the 10's under boost at 5-6 psi.
I'll be running 8-9 psi on a stock fuel system shortly. Dyno sheets coming soon.
BTW, I've pushed it to 12 psi on stock everything and only gotten detonation in the upper RPM due to stock timing.
