Default cv shaft replacement

Guys,

I got a Civic 97 Automatic transmission and both front axles have the outer boot torn. So bought a remanufactuerd axles from Autozone. Just wondering if i should do it myself or give it to a shop.

Here are my questions if i were to do it.
- Should i do both at once ? or can i do it one in one week and another in another week ?

- Does the transmission to be flushed when ever i do each axle ? if so there probably is an advantage doing all at once right ?

Do folks recommend doing it myself ? I have successfully did my brake rotors and pads myself with the guidance from this site. That was great.

Thanks

If you search there is a good writeup on axle replacment. If you are fairly good with tools you should be able to do it. I would replace both at the same time.
