Please help me diagnose why my car wont start...I just rebuilt my engine and need HELP!
Hey guys....I just rebuilt my motor...did everything specified in the HELMS...second motor I've built(or help build) and I am 99% sure I did the internals and headgasket correct. I put it all back together and got it all back in today and it wont start..
At first it sounded like it wasnt cranking fast enough...so I realized my battery was uncharged from sitting there 2 weeks and jumped it. It started faster(souded like a normal gsr) and it just winds. Now, I have checked for spark at the distributor..its there. I checked for fuel, and the gauge reads pressure and there is fuel on the plugs when I pull them. I dont see any leaks and I am sure that the tranny ground, engine ground, and the ground above the ECT is on.
Im just stumped right now....please help...any suggestions...anything....even a "who gives a ****" will be better than nothing..thanks a lot
P.S. The timing is really really really really close....maybe a miniscule amount off...but on my friends si..the tiiming was off a little and it started..just ran funny. ???

check all your connections....i forgot to plug in the idle control valve when i did my rebuild and it wouldn't start

one last ?...would I be having piston to valve contact with JDM ITR pistons...2 piece spoon headgasket and endyn exh. valves(flat)..?? Or better yet, if I was hitting..would I hear it or what? IM just trying to think of anything I can...thanks..keep em coming

does your car have enough gas in it?
what head are you using. there shouldn't be any clearance issues.

double check every connection on the wiring harness...re-check cam timing, crank the engine with the fuel rail off the motor and see if the ALL the injectors are squirting an even mist of fuel, do a compression test, look up any check engine light codes, re check engine tranny and wiring harness grounds, check fuse box for any blown fuses. thats all i can think of right now.. have fun!
Make sure the big dampener bolt on the rail is not too tight. The big 7/8" one.
If this is too tight, it will not get pressure to the rail..
depending on where you fuel pressure gauge is mounted(on the fuel filter, for example) it will register pressure even though it is not there.

If you have fuel and spark...it goes against the laws of physics that you won't at least turn over 1 time...
Cause Fuel+ spark= boom.
You must have no compression then....if it doesn't even want to turn over 1 time.
Maybe you have the timing belt on wrong and all the valves are stuck wide open.
BTw, Endyn doesn't make valves.
Please take the car and pay to have it looked at by a pro, diagnosing cars over the internet is pretty dang near impossible.
Just have the mentality like this:
I need:

WEll as for the endyn valves...I got them from mike k...so that is just what he told me...
AS for not turning over...its winding(turning over) da da da da da da da da....is what is sounds like. Ill just check the wiring in the morning...I'll check that injector mist thing too. Thanks a lot...all help is appreciated.
