Default CAI into short ram?

Rather than putting the stock intake back on for the winter I was thinking of converting my AEM CAI w/bypass into a short ram. Does this work? I know it will fit but since there would not be any support for it near the filter would it still stay properly even with the vibration of the engine?

yea it will stay put if you turn your cai into a regular intake, you shouldnt have anything to worry about as long as you make sure its tightened good onto your throttle body.
