CAI vs. that short one...
Sorry I dont know the name for the short aftermarket intake. How much of a hp difference will you see between the two. also is it possible to hydro lock your motor with CAI.... I know I somehow managed to get water in my old intake and it seized.....

yes if you have a CAI you are in danger of hydrolocking your motor. The CAI provides better peak hp with less throttle response and less power down low, while the short ram provides better throttle response and better low to midrange, but not as much peak hp. If you are worried about hydrolock I would get a fake j's racing short ram intake. It is a superior short ram and makes good power and has great throttle response. I am actually about to swap out my AEM CAI for one.

Let me know how it turns out. I have a Ractive short ram intake and it bogs the car down sooooo much. I would actually say my car is slower that with the stock air filter box.... The reason I keep it in is it sounds sweet... Its actually louder than my friends exahust lol...

Ractive is ****. I would get something else. A cai would increase your power good. The only short ram I would get is the j's intake.
