wich would run better with this setup? 390cc or 450cc
hey guys, i'm new to boost but i'm starting to peice together my HMT setup. right now i've got a stock y7 motor and i've got a y8 IM that should be here today. i was planning on running it on stock psi with the saab t3 turbo.(.42/.48)
i'm not sure which route of engine management i will use: afc hack or uberdata. my friend has all the stuff necessary for uberdata, as he will be running it on his setup soon. so i might see if he can hook me up. i think i would need a socketed p06 ecu and an obd2-obd1 conversion harness.. correct?
anyways.. if i ran the afc hack-would i be better off with the 390 injectors? that way i don't have to have such a high percentage in the fuel reduction?
but if i go with uber(and which ever ecu.. im not sure if p06 is the right one i need).. would i then want the 450cc since you can edit the maps to make the 450cc flow properly?
anything is helpful,
Luke

Just get the 450cc ones.. The work great for most setups and you will have higher flow if you want more power in the future..
ive gone and bought 390cc ones and it seems there may be a problem tricking the map senser into not reading boost and still getting enough fuel in.
for lower boost and/ or smaller turbo's should be able to make use of the 390's... at worst you would need to bump your fuel pressure a bit to compensate.
definately dont run it if you think your too lean... get on a wideband you would know for sure were the a/f is.
