Default Honda Accord SE 2002 4 cylinder 4 door upgrade?

I am new to this car thing. I recently was bestowed upon me by my parents thier car. I am wondering what I can do for it. I'm not made of money. If anyone can help me in deciding what to do with my car. I am already looking into getting springs. Shocks seem quite expensive though. If anyone can offer my some good prices for parts and ideas on what to change on my stock car. Thanks.

depends on what u want to do with the car......showcar, race car (autox, RR, drag racing....)

truthfully i would keep it stock and maybe get a system, cause with that auto tranny its gonna be slow no matter what u do to it.

if u want a sporty car then i'd suggest, some springs, intake, header, exhaust, 17+" rims.

dont even bother putting on a turbo kit or anything. just keep it simple. 6th gen accords are really big, so just keep it simple.

btw my mom has a 00 SE accord and with an intake i swear u can hear vtec

I suppsoe sporty would do. I like to weave in traffic, so a sway bar might be good too. So I should look into springs, intake, header, exhaust, 17+" rims. Im also looking for interior changes and exterior. ANy thoughts? Should I look for these parts on ebay?

sway bar will not do you anything if you like to weave in the traffic.
get a lawyer or bubba if you like that.

dont get me wrong but you need to know what is the modification for before doing it.

If you want to make your car different modify the OEM stuff on the vehicle. Add some mesh, black something out. On a budget there is nothing better than DIY projects that make your car look a little smoother or feel a little better. Try the whole removing the resonator thing, get a little drop on it, if you think it looks good get some mesh on the oem bumpers. Little stuff can make a big difference.

Find a friend who has some mods, and try out his car. Do a ton of research if you don't have much cash, and find out what YOU want.

Ummm... weaving in traffic... yeah, sway bar will do you some good there, but sense and prayer will do you much better..

you tranny is definately a draw back ( automatic) if you are looking for performance..i say give it a nice look...wiil save you money and help you get laid.
with regard to the whole weaving in traffic ..that will cost you money and help you get injured... to avoid this you must sacrifice an young virgin to the gods of Forced Induction (on the back seat of your car)..and never weave in traffic again...just saying be safe dude

Try driving while sober. Take a class on sentence structure.

i keep hearing that i should start with springs and shocks. And then worry about the rest. Whats the best order for things when you can only afford 1 part per month and i want to keep busy on the car weekly. And is craiglist and ebay the best placed for used parts?

There is not set order for any of this stuff, but a lot of people find a little drop with all factory stuff to be a pretty clean mod. Maybe some wheels next, just do what you want but don't forget that adding every part in the world DOES NOT make a good looking vehicle. Think of a final goal how you want your car to look. Then stick to it and don't go overboard with random cheap parts. Get a good goal in mind and then get a set parts list together and do it. Good luck.

sounds like bolt ons would be fine, but if you want "sporty" id try to not stick anything larger than 17's on your accord...
