Default Will new springs?

Will new springs settle over time. I'm going to put H&R OE springs in a 04 accord and I want to know if I can except them to lower further than they are speced out to after they settle? Thanks for the help...

Some will settle more than others, but most I have seen settle with a pretty noticible difference in height. I don't know if your going to see that with those OE springs. Keep us updated

sorry guys, a bit OT but I have seen in a couple of "how to's" that you should cut your bumpstop in half when installing new (lower) springs. Why is this?? Sorry for the OT and newbie nature of the question, but please, someone let me know. thanks.

Cutting of the bump stops will allow just a little moremove ment in the for the strut so it car have a little more free move ment. Only down side is with the lowering springs on stock struts the will wear out quiker due to being more comressed and possible bottoming out.

Thank you! Finally someone answered my question, I have tried to get that question answered at least 3 or 4 times. Much appreciated. So basically it just helps prevent bottoming out and gives the strut more movement to allow the springs more proper movement. Thanks. BTW, to ac04, i know its already been answered, but yeah, springs settle in a bit but H&R's don't tend to settle bad at all. Don't expect a very noticable settle in, you should be good. Post pics when you get it done!
