Just as the topic states, Im wondering how loud running open waste gate and Downpipe would be on a Gsr? I would be only running 6lbs until I save for the build. Thanks any video or sound clips would help me out.

 

i dont mind the sound when driving but stopped, idling, its stinks, sounds like sh*t and fills the car with smoke

 

Its pretty loud dude but it does sound awesome.

 

it's loud inside the car but not so loud outside.

and if you're only running 6psi...i wouldn't do it.


open wg on the other hand, wouldn't hurt. you may be helping your spool time by doing so depending on where the dump tube connects to the dp.

 

i had open dp and wg boostin 8 pounds on b16..idle sounds normal,not loud at all,unless you have a ridiculous idle.it all isnt that bad except for high rpm,it screams..especially when vtec pops.and i wouldnt suggest open dp/wg for longer than like 2-3 miles...u start to get light headed from all the fumes,and your eyes start to burn.i started to drive like ace ventura...with my head out the window.oh yea and your engine bay gets black and dirty as all hell.
