I was watching speedvision the other day (NOPI Tunervision I think), and saw a civic hatch (Red) sponsered by Dupont, and it had a GSR engine pushing just over a 1000hp with a stock bottom end (boosted of course). Yes thats right 1000hp with stock bottom end, that is unless my ears were deceving me. Has any1 heard of that hatch?
I can't believe that ****, 1000hp with stock bottom end! how can that be possible?

I dunno about a thousand horsepower, but a civic with a -huge- turbo did run a 7.72 down at Honda Heaven in the DFW area. I dunno what numbers it pushes, but if a FWD car can do a 7.72 1/4, then I'm sure 1000hp is possible too.
If it is indeed true, car probably won't have 1000 hp for much longer, after the dyno run and a trip down the drag strip, it'll be time for a rebuild of the bottom end, which will no longer make it stock...lol
