having hard time shifting gears
i have a 94 LS stick with 83k. recently im having a hard time shifting gears. it is mainly from 1st to 2nd, but all others are rough too. there is a lot of resistence when shifitng. there are no grinds or whatever, and i havent misshifted or anything like that recently either. i just changed the MTF about 4k miles ago. i searched and people said to change the fluid but i did that before i had these problems. u think if i change it again with GM it would help? or do i need a new clutch.
thanks

same symptoms I had on my old clutch w/ about 130K on it, after taking 2nd gear to redline, every gear was hard to engage after that. There was no grinding or anything, though. I found pieces broken off of the clutch disc around the springs, and I guess it kept the clutch from engaging fully or something. Time for a new clutch.
I have the same problems as the 2 guys above, I dunno if I need a new clutch or a new transmission in general, cause my **** feels really bad. Everytime I go into 2nd gear I feel the metal touching eachother. Getting into the other gears arent smooth at all either

how's the clutch pedal feel? is it as "stiff" as before....have you checked your clutch master and slave cylinder...it's the little reservoir next to the bigger brake reservoir...take a look inside and see what it looks like...if it's low then refill...but it should be clear...if not...try flushing and bleeding in new fluid...did it on my teg and it shifts better....hope this helps
i checked the fluid level and its low, im gonna bleed it and hopefully thatll work. weird thing is that it shifts fine anywhere before/at 3k rpm, but any higher it is hard to shift.
edit: the fluid of the clutch reservoir was low.

Its most likely the clutch you should get a new one before you wind up like me and have your clutch blow and drive 100 miles home with out a clutch. What happens usually is the pins that hold in the springs will break off and get really stiff. Go for a clutch master stage 1 clutch i love them

im not sure but correct me if im wrong but i thought only the headers would get in the wya of the shift linkage

Try Changing The Fluid ANd Shift Alittle Bit Less Rpms Some Times If You Go To High And Shift you fly wheel does not have enough time to catch up with you gears and kind of jams then it gives it a bad ride till you shut it off and also a bad clutch can make this worst, also like i said shift alitte less on the rpms if ya know how to double clutch that helps if you get a programable euc you can change you power band and it well shift smoother
how about shifting into reverse... i always grind n ****. like im sure im in reverse i double check too but sometimes its really hard to get it in... and it fucken grinds
shifting in to reverse and it grinding is in your tranny you reverse is starting to go
try making sure the clutch is all the way in then tap your gas a couple of times easy then shift into reverse after you rpm's settle could lessin this effect but most cases it will not help
