help me rid the last check engine light
ok it pertains to the oxygen sensor. The car is a 1995 civic cx the motor is a jdm b16a. Now converting from 1 wire o2 to 4 wire o2. I know where the wires go but on the white wire I was told it needed to be shielded (wire wraping around the white wire) where do I connect the shielded wire to.
sorry if any confusion. Hope some one can help me out on this

I'm not sure what your asking but, a four wire o2 has two wires for the heater circuit and two for the signal circuit. The shield wraps around the signal wires so the ecu gets a clean signal with no electomagnetic interferance. On a honda the sheild around the signal wire is sent to a ground to ground out any electromagnetic induction. Hope that helps
i will give that a try and ground the shielded part of the wire. It just doesent make sense that as soon as I turn my car on the check engine light pops on and I have dissconnected the battery to clear the code. Thanks
