Melted a Radiator Cap seal..
i recently took a 11 hr trip w/ my turbo gsr.. I usually check things over in the engine bay every now and then and I noticed that the rubber seal that holds the coolant pressure under the radiator cap melted right off and was laying right on the rim where it seals w/ the cap.. the rubber piece looked warped and deformed. Keep in mind this is a stock honda radiator cap..
I didnt have a spare cap down there, so I ended up driving home w/ the defective cap, which wasn't holding pressure.. Good thing the car never overheated on the way back..
just wondering if anyone else here ever experience such a thing happening to their rad cap?? btw, i'm running a full teg radiator w/ a pusher and puller fan..
