Turbo Vs. All motor
OK im getting ready to build my bottom end but i cant make up my mind so i decided to ask what are the pros and cons of both all motor and turbo i have an h22 and thats the one that is gonna get built i also have a h23 that i can take apart should i use the h23 crank or h22 Thanks!!!
Either way can be expensive and problematic... turbo Vs. all motor. Turbo can make a bunch more power IMO easier and a bit more cost effective. Just depends on your personal goals with the car.
As far as the crank... displacement wins from my point of view.

all motor in a heavy *** prelude is a complete waste of money. I have seen several 200+whp prelude get walked on all day long on a stock block LS motor pushing 9psi in an EG.
Go turbo. End of story.

I say if you're gonna get the bottom end built you might as
well go turbo and go all out if you have any intensions of
running low 13's or faster.
as far as the crank, I would stick with the h22, less problematic

go allmotor. your in cali, being boosted in cali is getting harder and harder as days go buy especially with all the cops. but if your not worried about that then go turbo and spank all the other ludes in salinas..
ps. i just moved from salinas to sac about 2 years ago. since there's no real shops down there, who u gonna have build your motor?

if yoru lazy, go turbo. NA is the harder road like everyone else said, but NA cars are almost always lastr waaaay longer than a Turbo car too,.
i say go all motor. Who cares if a eg with a motor swap and turbo walk all over you ? i enjoy driving my prelude, and i enjoy it being kinda quick. Yea, its not the fastest thing on the road, its not the lightest, but if i wanted that i would have a hatch.

I would go allmotor. As for the lasting long part it depends on who built it ,do ya beat on the car everyday,is there followed up maintenance same with the turbo. I always keep it like this it doesnt matter if im faster than someone else because there will always be someone faster than me or my opponent. I just set my goals high for either one with the money I have to spend and hope for the best with the knowledge that im given .
