Default Question for the juicers in the house....

I'm planning on getting the 55 shot zex kit installed in the spring and want to know what RPM you guys shift at when spraying? Do you go all the way to red?

well, i dont have the zex kit yet but from what i have read there are different ways to do it. If you have a set up that shuts the nitrous off right before redline then it would be safe to rev that high. Other wise, i think its to risky.

I use a rpm window switch which shuts off the system 200 r's before rev limiter.. Before that though, I bounced off the fuel cutoff a couple times..

The Zex 55 system is equal to a NOS/NX 35-40 shot, and is NOTHING to be concerned about.. That's why its so recommended for beginners because u can fk up many times, like 100, before u'd see compression loss..

My 75shot from Nitrous Express yields 76whp, while the Zex 55 yielded high 30's in the two cases that i saw.. Also keep in mind that bottle temps matter, but that's a whole other subject..

My opinion, as usual, is to save $800 and get a real system that's meant for people who spend 6 whole hours learning basic motor tech, how nitrous works, and what can go wrong/how to prevent it.. If that's too much for u, get the Zex system..

like yoru thoughts HX
i belive the ZEX kit comes with a 70 hp pill. Do you feel this is rated incorrectly? When you said to spend the 800, i had a few concerns. After getting all i plan on doing in order to safeguard the zex, like the RPM window switch, bottle heater, remote opener, etc etc, and the ralated hardware like FPR and appropriate gauges to monitor the vitals, i imagined my total exceeding $800 Are these steps not safe and effective????

your thoughts...

ZEX comes with 55,65, and 75 pills. It will put down
+47hp @ 55 shot
+55 hp @ 65 shot
+64 hp @ 75 shot
all measured to the wheels on a stock D16Z6 with I/H/E.
Factor in 15% driveline loss, and the jetting is dead on hp rating.
