I have a 97 Prelude and I used to get 375 miles off a tank of gas. For the past few months I have been getting around 215-225 miles. I tried Wynns injector treatment and gas additive, but it did not help. Now i'm looking to swap the 02 sensors, but they are kinda expensive. What other symptoms can I look for to determine the 02 sensors are the problem. I never have any engine codes and the car has 113,000 miles on the motor, and runs awsome, but with that kind of mileage I guess there due for a change.

have you done any tune-ups? spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc....

 

Its about time to change out that o2 sensor. But as stated before if you haven't done a major tune up lately then all of that is probably in order.

 

Oh yeah, the previous owner had all that done at 95,000 miles. Her gave me reciepts. I purchased the car at 105,000 miles and I would get awsome gas mileage, and now it just dropped. I guess it's time to swap out 02 senors.

did you do any mods after you bought the car?

 

Misfiring and erratic rpms are common symptoms.
