Default My Dyno. :)

Weekend before last finally made the trip to Whip Factory and got my car tuned by the owner Dave. Excellent experience. Dave is a great guy...I will recommend him to anybody. I am very happy with the power we made. The car is so much more fun to drive now...except for the fact 1st gear just goes up in smoke, and 2nd does for the most part too.

274whp 204wTQ at 10psi
Ecutout NOT open..ran out of time so we didn't tune with it open, just closed. We spent about 2 hours on the dyno.

Before tuning at 7psi when I brought the car in, after tuning at 10.

Pics of my setup and what I have can be seen in this thread.

Pics of the car can be found here.

I'd like to thank my friend Adam for being around to help and for moral support, Dave for his awesome tuning, Steve for all my welding and fabrication needs, my Dad for his fabbing, Ben at importparts.com for alot of the stuff I needed, Kyle at wiredspeed.com for more parts I needed, Joel and JT at Extreme Parts, and everyone else on HT for all their knowledge!

The car is in no way done. I'm planning to keep running it at this level untill it breaks, and/or I save enough for rods and pistons. Hopefully a Small CF wing, seats, tranny rebuild, and more will also be in store for the car as well.

Thanks for looking!
Levi

Wow, 274 WHP @ 10 psi, not bad. Type-R motor, I would expect higher #'s.

even so ... i've seen stock LS make over 290hp @9psi. most gsr yeild 300hp + @10psi. maybe the exhaust was restrictive since he mentioned the cutout ... but who knows.

I have a really good feeling, that if you dyno it with the Cutout open. You'll probably hit 300whp. Do a baseline with A/F with the Cutout open for me yah ? I really curious will you run rich and the power gain with it open. But that some nice # bro.

Conservative Tune-up....He said he couldn't afford to rebuild it till next year.

Exhaust was restrictive tho, I didn't want to run the cut-out ona car tuned with the Exhaust on...Will run more boost (less back pressure) and leaner tuneup. That's a good way to blow up a motor.

PS: I've never seen an LS make 290whp on 9psi with a 57 trim, anything is possible tho.

my stock LS hit 290hp @9psi with a very conservative tune. when we made it a little more aggressive i hit 315hp @9.5psi. so it is possible. still good numbers and i'm sure it still has more potential
