Default Pics of my custom piping and turbo setup. 56k no

Project has cost me lots more then I had anticipated(even though this is my second turbo honda) but it is turning out SOOO much nicer then the last.

b18c1 turbo...can't wait till I get a chance to drive her.

Building the piping took me and my welder about 20 hours. Turned out awesome. Good thing is he is a very knowledagble turbo V8 owner, and a perfectionist like me.

WG pipe dumps to atomosphere right out of the picture. I used aluminum piping before the IC that I got from Burns Stainless. WG piping is from a 1.5" stainless U bend also from Burns Stainless

Building the intake piping was a pain in the ***. There were alot of things to clear and not lots of room. I had planned on making this from 3" aluminum, but because of the space we used 2.5" stainless that was laying around. Here is how close it clears the fan!

We welded a bracket to the intake piping and supported it to the tranny.

The whole intake piping.

Air Filtration is handled by an Apexi Power Intake. To mount the intake I had my dad machine me a custom billet aluminum flange for the filter. It came out better then I expected.

All my charge Piping is stainless 2.5" from Burns Stainless.

You can't really see it in this pic but I have a flex coupling connecting the two pieces of charge piping.

I wanted to keep the exhaust I had, and still have something that could flow well when I needed it so I invested in a Qtech cutout.

Dumping the exhaust on the floorboards wouldn't be good so we added a couple small pieces of pipe to direct the flow downward.

Couple Gauge Pics

I'm going for the stealth effect.

You see an intercooler?

Setup details:

2000 Civic Cx
Stock b18c1
Maxrev Intercooler
Maxrev DP
Maxrev Manifold
Garret t3/to4e 57trim
Turbo XS RFL BOV
Tial 35mm Wastegate
Qtech 2.5" E-Cutout
Tanabe Super Racing Medallion exhaust
AEM fuel Rail
AEM FPR
Walbro 255lph pump
RC 550cc Injectors
Hondata s200b
Defi Fuel Pressure Gauge
Defi Oil Pressure Gauge
Defi EGT Gauge
Autometer Boost Gauge
ACT Prolite Flywheel
Action 2KS clutch.

Here is a pic of the engine of the guy that welded and fabbed my piping. I know its in a Nova....68 or 69 I believe. He is only running 5psi now...he wants to build a stronger block so he can run 17psi...which is where the turbo will be most efficient with his setup.

Precision turbo, HKS wastegate, equal length manifold, custom brackets..all created by him.

The setup is standard, I don't mean any offense in that, it's the layout where you really get props though. Like someone else stated, it is HOT. It looks so clean, if it were mine I wouldn't even want to drive it. for what looks to be time and money well spent.

Is the intercooler painted or anodized?

Thanks for all the compliments.

Its not totally finished yet either. I have some more T-bolt clamps coming, and I need to clean up the way I mounted the filter. I didn't have a hose or hose clamps that fit right, so I had to rig it for now.

Thanks Mike.

I'm still pissed I won't be able to make it to the madison meet because of the Hondata situation. I was so close.

You know that painting reduces the cooling efficiency of the intercooler. It acts like insulation.

WRONG! the paint will make no noticeable difference, as long as it isnt gobbed on.
