Default Effects of running super rich?

I wanted to know what are the con's of running super rich besides bad gas mileage.

I recently went for an emissions test and holy cow is all I can say. Legal limit I guess you can say for "Gas injection" is like 1.8 or something like that in PA.

Guess what, my test showed as 8.3. Not the exact #'s but I have to go home again and re-check it.

Is it that bad to run rich like that? I am running with a chipped ECU.

You can also damage the inside of the cylinder walls when running real rich. I would get some type of engine management to lean that out some. What are you mods?

Hmm, not sure why the ECU is running so much fuel. Have you checked the condition of your spark plugs?

running toorich, and you could was down the cyl. walls. causing exessive wear on your rings and walls. contaminating the oil could also lead to pre-mature bearing failure.
if you wouldlike to keep the ecu, go get a vafc to lean it out. and fix the fuel curve. but i recomend you do this on a dyno or atleast have acess to a wide band o2.
too lean could be bad news too
