Default antenna switch

has anyone replaced the stock integra radio only to find out when you are playing cd's the antenna is up? makes me mad. i know you can buy a flip switch and splice teh antenna wire behind the radio and do something like that. can anyone find directions for this? you can hook the switch by the parking brake in one of the four little pop out plastic pieces.

Well the antenna is suppose to extract when the radio is powered up and is not bias to the fact your listening to cd's and not the radio...

Could a switch be used to control the antenna? .. probably, but you have to understand that the antenna power motor changes polarity for its extracting/retracting abilities.. it may take a double pole toggle switch to accomplish this task and seperate signal wires to the motor ( these wires already exist in your car)

But I have a better idea, lets ask Tekken, he knows all about this stuff!

go to geeser.com (i think... i'm pretty sure that's it) he has a full antenna bypass switch instructions.... otherwise, something that looks cool and would solve your problem is installing an S2000 antenna.... it's always up, but at least it looks cool.
