Immobilizer flipped out on me
I was at work yesterday and was about to take my lunch break.. got in the car, tried to start, but nothing. After about 6 hours of tinkering around we fig'd out it was the immobilizer that was preventing my car from starting. My friend who came to this conclusion is a mechanic for a mazda dealership and says that the aftermarket alarm i have in there is working fine.. the only way i can get it fixed is to bring it in to a dealer.
But there's 2 problems, for one, no towing companies wanna risk towing my car cuz it's too low (******* triple A) and second, i don't know if that would be covered in my warranty.. i have a 7 yr extended bumper to bumper warranty and i only got the car 2 yrs ago. If it's not covered how much would i have to pay to get the immobilizer reprogrammed or my key reprogrammed or whatever?
And do dealerships have tow trucks?

Perfect case for coil-overs, then you could jack the car's height up so they'd tow it.
When you put the key in to start the car, does the immob light actually blink? If it just comes on like normal it's most likely the starter kill for the aftermarket alarm. If it either blinks the faster blinks, or the light doesn't come on at all, then it would be your immob (or if you have a remote start something might be messed up with when the immob bypass is sending it's signal to the key cylinder, causing the car to read both keys and messing up).
As for pricing if it is the immob... check out http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and look at the View and purchase your Honda Automotive parts On-line link

yeah i am on OBX coilovers.. problem is that i don't have the tools to jack up the height. And when the key is in, the light is just a solid green.. but my friend was tinkerin around with it and it would flash sometimes. He checked the alarm and said that there was no problem with it.. it's brand name is Impact btw if that helps.. bought it off ebay for like 50 bux only cuz my car was used and honda didn't put a stock one in after the original owner took it out.. the clutch safety thing was already bypassed so i never needed to start the car with the clutch even before i had that remote starter/alarm installed.
would warranty cover the immobilizer needing reprogramming? or since there's an aftermarket alarm would it have voided it? There was nothing wrong with it until yesterday and i had the alarm installed a long *** time ago.

here is how u get ur car on a tow truck. first, get a flatbed, otherwise this is gonna be a real short trip. 2nd, put down 2 big *** peices of wood, so that the car can clear the ramp, otherwise youll be missing a front bumper, then pop the bish in neutral and let them hook it up to the chains and pull it over the wood and up the ramp. some 2x6's should work fine.
i don't need my car towed by a flatbed.. its been towed by a regular tow truck before with absolutely no problems..
anyone know how much it will cost if warranty doesn't cover it?

well then tow it on a flatbed. If you are saying they have towed it on a normal tow truck, how is that possible if your car is slammed?? mine isnt that low, and they needed a flatbed and peices of wood to get it on a tow truck. COnsidering the dealer is going to make the argument that you probably voided the warranty, no, in all probabilty its not covered.
