Default H22eg "shakes"

okay car drives fine until now, i noticed the steering wheel and dash shakes at certain rpm mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear.. i eliminated somethings allready

new shocks.
new tires/balanced 205/50/16
HCP mounts
DSS axles

Its strange just to have it shake at higher rpms but limited to 2nd 3rd and sometimes 1st gear. When it passes a certain speed or rpm in that gear the shakings gone. Normal granny drives no problem only when i let the rpms climb. Any suggestions? the car has a very slight idle surge but i don't believe thats what causes the "shakes" i wonder if it would have anything to do with old worn bushings, like steering, control arms etc..

i allready tried the search but not one thats smilar to this.

any suggestions?

Frank at DSS is still probably not giving people the right axle lengths..

make sure your mounts and exhaust are tight. tunning it a bit wouldnt hurt either at some rpms some engine need more fuel then others. mine shakes too but h-series in a civic aint exactly smooth riding like your parents camry.

I'm having the exact same problem in my 98 Teg with H22A. Only when accelerating conservatively through 2nd and 3rd (99% of time), I get a slight vibration in the steering/dash. It's between say ~2000 to ~3000 rpm. As soon as I pass say ~3200 rpm, nothing ... smooth like silk. If I run through the gears quickly? No vibration/shaking. I'm really thinking it's the axles, I'm using 92-96 Lude mid-shaft, 86-89 Teg outers and shafts with 92+ lude inner joints. If it is axles, I'm guessing I need custom ones ....

I've been driving like this for over a month now, it's not getting any worse but it is annoying. BUMP! I wanna get to the bottom of this as well.

You use the lude carrier and bearings? The integra ones are smaller.

The carrier (the three post thing) and the bearings and bigger on the prelude then on the integra, so you have too much clearance when you use the prelude CV cup on the integra axles and bearings.

So this leads once again to custome axles .... booooooo
I guess it can't be a huge diff, I had these axles assembled at an actual CV shop and they never said nothing, weird. Any custom cv shops better than others for custom work ?
