Speedo not working.
86 Si 2.0
All of the time, the speedo just sits at zero no matter what. It just doesnt move at all.
I have heard that this is a common issue, and I would like to solve it.
I dont fell very good driving around next to jonny law and not knowing what speed I am going.
I havent yet found a answer to this problem, but one guy said something about hitting the dash. I didnt think that would work, it would probably just cause more damage.
So if you can help thank.

Hitting the dash will only solve the problem if it's a loose connection in the cluster, which might very well be the case. Check your speed sensor first and if that's good then pull the cluster and check your connections.

Not sure on that model. If you don't already have a hayne's manual I suggest running out immediately and buying one, well worth the money. This will tell you exactly where to find it and how to test whether or not it's bad.
