ECU ReChip Question???
I was looking around on the net, and I found the spoon and mugen ecu chips for the pr3 b16a ecu... It only cost $30 for each chip, i was wondering if anybody has done that chip swap... A full ecu rechip is gonna cost $200-$300... Any help would be helpful...
I got Mugen clone rechip from http://www.locashracing.com and happy with it as I have modded b16a with PR3.Some peeps say it runs rich - not mine.....
The best way to do it is solder the chip in and also you will want to use a resistor for safety. All it takes for chipping, is a burner, time, and soldering tools. Pr3's arent the easiest ones to try and learn on.

ive got the locash pr3 spoon burn personally i think it sucks for the price i paid all i really noticed is that the speed governor was removed but for rev limit it stops at 8300 and its supposed to go up to 8500 3 tachs dont lie.
Well, I have the following mods (and this chip WORKS!):
ITR intake mani
JG ported TB
ITR cams
Crower springs and retainers
ITR valves
bronze valve guides
CTR pistons
CM 4 clutch and flywheel
DC 4:1 header
Portflow modded head
I run fairly well having taken 91 EX 4 door that weighs 2550 with me in it to 13.98 @ 99.04 with no cam dial in yet.
Oh , yea I have AEM fuel rail and Vortech FPR...
Hope that helps
