Cams are at TDC and crank is at TDC, but when I hit it with the timing gun it shows the white line l
I just put my engine back together, I put the timing belt on how the book says, the cams are at TDC facing "up" with the lines facing each other lining up on the head. The crank is at TDC with the white mark lining up. I turned it on and it ran fine, but when I hit it with the timing light, it is showing the white TDC mark lining up with the marker on the dust cover, not the red one. I have to push the dizzy all the way towards the firewall for it to be close to the red mark. I dont get it. How can it be off if everything lines up. Plz Plz help

The up marks are facing directly up yes?
The way you worded it saying the marks are 'facing each other' made me wonder
