retarding timing question

Default retarding timing question

ok, just replaced my HG, and I need to retard my timing again, how much should I do it? my set up, d16z6, t25, 9psi, afc hack. I believe it was -9 b/f I took it off, but not sure..I didn't do it the first time.

just set it to stock and get a msd 6btm ignition, your looseing a ton of power with out it,

is the BTM needed if you have a chipped ECU with retarded ignition/boost accounted for?
Is there something the MSD does that a re programmed chip (turboedit etc) does and vice versa?

if you have a prom that already dose it then no the btm is not needed

how much is one of these, "get a msd 6btm ignition" and right now I don't have the mondy garenteed, so what should I set the timing at?

what i did is got my timing gun, set the dial at 10 and timed it to that, and it runs just like it did before.
