Default Newbie to Autoxing placement

i've been running Novice for my past autox's and it's time to pick a place to run...

(i did search!)

What class could I enter and not be totaly beaten to a pulp?

I was thinking FSP or STS

Car is:
1994 Honda Accord Sedan

mod's are:
K&N Drop-In Filter
Aftermarket Muffler
Neuspeed Race springs with Tokico blues struts
4 Ingalls Camber kits set to 0*
Transmission Cooler
Front & Rear Upper Strut Bar
Metal Master Brake Pads
Powerslot front rotors

Thanks,

Nick

You'll be beaten to a pulp in both classes. You need to learn that its all about the driver, not the car. Just go to as many events as you can, worry about becoming a better driver, SEAT TIME IS EVERYTHING!!!

Beyond that, however, I'd suggest STS, at least that way you can use the same tires as everyone else without having to change them at the track.

I'd do STS and definately get some Falken Azenis if you want the car to stick.

Have fun and remember, look ahead not down!

oh, I know it's the driver not the car...but i was just wondering where my little car could go because I can't do novice anymore.

Well you car is not exaclty little, especially compared to what usually shows up in FSP or STS...

Like others said, just get some 205-50-15 or 215-45-16 Azenis and go to STS and keep accumulating seat time.

What kind of tires do you have? If you can get some race tires, go to FSP, if not STS. And put some negative camber on the front , since you have the Ingalls kit.

I would, but It's my daily driver (and i'm in college) so I need all life out of the tires I can....

so no on tires (i'm gonna run on some bridgestone re92s with about 10% tread left...don't wanna ruin my kuhmo all seasons)

and no on camber (too much hassle and money to get re aligned)

oh and by all means...i'm only doing this for fun..my car is slow

it's not so much where "they" put you, but what mod(s) you did to the car to be placed in street prepared. it only takes one mod that is not legal in stock or ST to be placed in that class.

you're gonna run on street tires anyway, so why not stay in STS?

Is this legal in STS? I know you can't modify the tranny or internals, but does a cooler count as modifying the tranny?

im in college and my crx is a daily driver, camber doesnt eat your tires up like toe does...ive been running 2.5* negative camber for a while now, and have not had any uneven tire wear due to my toe being at 0 on both sides and my caster is within spec...

i know that "they" didnt really put me in the csp class, it was my mods...i was just stating that we have similar mods and im in csp

my setup:

kyb agx
eibach sportline
cusco strut braces
15 inch rims and street tires

thats it, my engine is also bone stock,

he has camber kit, and an tranny cooler...

i think with those mods you are eligible for ST2, but someone correct me if i'm wrong.

no mention of transmission coolers until 15.10S in street prepared allowable mods, so it doesn't appear to be STS legal.

That's what I thought. In that case, unless someone else can show it is legal, you'd have to go for CSP to drive legally.
