when i go WOT, itll die/clunk out
as stated, if i floor it, even in neutral, just so the pedal hits the floor. after it revs down itll keep going and clunk out...ive been messing witht he idle screw thing and throttle cable but i still cant figure it out...any ideas? (h23 in a del sol by the way)
its possible if the throttle cable is not adjsuted properly it can do this
check to make sure that at WOT the butterfly is in the WOT position.
also clean out the throttle body
usually a stutter or choke is related to the ignition system / fuel system.
where the motor is not getting enough of one or the other and it causes it to behave like this.

thats why i think it has something to do with the tps. if it is the tps. most likely itll be my throttle cable too. (ive been adjusting the throttle cable and idle adjusting screw but nothing has been working) the engine just doesnt seem like its working up to its ability either

the car will stay on
there is not supposed to be any tension on the butterfly with no throttle being applied
the butterfly should be fully closed.
remove the cable and check. trust me. your car can idle and start normally with NO throttle cable at all.

then take off your throttle body, there should be 2 holes in the throttle body that allow air to go into the manifold to prevent the car from stalling with the butterfly fully closed.
i also had a problem of a misadjusted throttle cable with the butterfly even slightly open it was making my car with an erratic idle and cel.
