Default DIY intake question...

whats up. i have a g3 and i was wondering on the DIY icebox install. is there a way to have piping go to where the grill (blue box) isntead of having to mod or take off the bumper lense (red box)?

Do you really want to pipe the intake to the front of the car, and risk getting water, bugs, road debris, etc... in there? Why don't you just end the intake where normal CAIs do, immediately in the fender, above the splash guard? Though, I guess for race only purposes, removing the turn signal makes the msot sense, who signals when racing?

you don't have to get the filter to where the air is. get the air to where the filter is.

what i mean is you can duct air from the section of the grill you are referring to, to where the standard CAI ends. a duct from somewhere like pegasus, some 3'' dryer hose, and some zip-ties would do the trick.
