Can you extract more HP out of stock cams with cam gears?
There are a few people on this board that have cam gears with stock cams. The only person I can think of is VagoITR. Unless he got some aftermarket cams now.
I got 5 hp to the ground. I had both set at zero. I got 170hp then advanced the intake +4 and the exhaust at zero and got 175hp to the ground. I say at least 4 or 5 to the ground with i/h/e
This may sound stupid but can you cover the cam gears after tuning it? For example, while tuning the cam gears use a valve cover that has already been cut. Then after everthing is done, install a valve cover that has not been cut. Sounds reasonable right?

On both my ls/vtec with stock ITR cams and on my current ITR as well as the 3 other b18s I had before all with stock cams, the intake cam like to be advanced 2-3 degree while the exhaust usually like to stay near zero. All where tuned on the dyno. I have two valve covers also, one to tune with (cut) and the stock one.
