95 Honda Accord: Rust Problem
I have been driving accords for couple of years, and have seen in quite a few of accords that there is problem with rusting right above the rear wheels where the rear fender meet the the body.
And I have started noticing on my 95 accord similar rusting. Is there a way I can fix the problem?

Actually a lot of the older Hondas all had the same problem. The cause of the problem is the rear wheel well lining that traps dirt and water, causing rust to form. I've removed the rear rubber lining from every Honda I've owned and I have yet to get any rust and I live in NYC (with rain and snow). If the rust isn;t too bad on your car, try sanding it off then touching it up with some paint.
My '88 is the same way, on the R/S rear. IMO, the inner fender liner should only be removed for service access. Honda should be aware of this problem and be "engineering a solution". The goal must be - NO rust for 20 years, but cooperation is necessary from the states.
