well i did something stupid today and ended up cracking and braking off this plastic piece off of my radiator. the fluid began to spew out and leaked on everything in it's path, what a disgusting smell it has.
anyways i'll take pics to give you guys a visual of the damage. in the mean time what the hell should i do about this problem ?! im planning on getting a h22 swap done in a month or so and it would be nice to have the car up and running in the meantime.
it's a 91 HF, i was wondering if i could opt for a better radiator setup for now that i would also be able to use with the h22 ? or just get the POS repaired.

not to long ago i cracked my radiator but just a LITTLE crack and next thing u know my car was over heated like crazy. i suggest u change it too. less worry for u 2.
Get the dual core 90-93 teg radiator. It's better than the single core you got now.
Not sure how h series hoses fit on the da radiator.

yea, i'll probably go with what most people with an ef go with when they have clearance issues due to turbo or motor swaps. lookin at the PWR civic half size from earl $310 shipped. what else is good out there ? will the high performance rad help my A/C become cooler ? i'm not sure if preventing the motor from overheating would have any effect on my A/C.

Well that is up to you. You can try and get the EG one since it looks like that's the one you want, but you're gonna have to mod some stuff to make it fit, or get a Placa Racing crossmember. Or you can get the stock CRX/Civic one and try and make the turbo equip fit.

2point2 is using a stock del sol rad. has anyone else used one from a del sol ?
i have a aftermarket cm that should give me a good amount of space for things.
I just got my paycheck and would hate to waste it on a new rad and later on have problems with it, so i just trying to get all the info i can before i make a descision.
thanks for the help guys

OK, to sum things up a bit.
With my stock HF motor, i can use either the del sol dual core rad or the civic half sized. all this can be done with some fab this and that my crossmember should clear everything.
which rad is best to use for a boosted h22 ? will the c&r 'shorty' clear the motor ?
i've heard the C&R's are lighter than the competition, that tickles my fancy
any good links for rad removal/installs ?

Dont use the 92 half radiator. It sucks ***. Tried it yesterday.
I got a 86 accord radiator, dual core. That thing is all metal, copper on the top and bottom, and it barely fits!!! Got it for 30$ I lucked out. I used its overflow catch can also. Its bigger.
Bottom line- Save yourself the hassle, and don't go around trying to swap random radiators. Get stuff you know works, and is EASY to install.
