Default Art or anyone, spark plugs w/ FI.

It's almost time here in another month for the setup to go in and everything and I want to go through my final checklist. I know that I need colder running plugs but personally I don't have much experience in this spark plug department. I was wondering what plugs you guys are using, why, price, and where I can find them.

Another thing, gaskets, hoses, ss braided oil lines, any one particular place that is going to carry these? Also, what all am I going to need to get a gasket for?

Appreciate it. Is it snowing over there by you Art or anyone else in Dallas?

I personally use the NGK two step colder plugs. Im not 100% sure on the part # but its something like Bkr 7E11. Some correct me on this because I always get it wrong. You can order these from http://www.importparts.com

I but all my earl fittings and hoses from two places http://www.anplumbing.com and http://www.bakerprecision.com .
Now as for gaskets you are gonna need oil pan, exhaust manifold, and Honda bond all from Honda and a T3 turbo gasket, which you can find at any autoparts store because they carry them for the old T-bird turbo.

I dont know what wastegate you are gonna get but you can order the wastegate gaskets for like the Tial and Deltagate from http://www.majesticturbo.com . You can also get the turbo gaskets from them.

well, while we're on subject, Art, I got your plug...

you can use either BKR7E or BKR7E-11, the only difference is that pre-gapped within factory
the BKR7E stock # 6097 it is pre-gapped for .28-.34
the BKR7E-11 stock # ?? it is pre-gapped for .34-.44

or you can used NGk Part # 1095 which are bcp7e-11. Those are good for turbo applications also.

or if you want teh bkr7e-11 you can order them from monarch parts. They sell it for like 1.40 a piece or something like that.

Cool, thanks for all the info. I'm using the internal wastegate on the T3 until I can run higher boost then I'll switch to an external wg.

Should I be able to get all the gaskets from the local autostore or will I have to special order them?

When you talk about gap variances in spark plugs, what does that relate to and which gap or ratio is better for different applications?

Thanks again guys, appreciate it.

Turbo cars, the gap should be smaller like .28 or so is good. Turbo cars go smaller gap

Nothing in particular, the other guy said .28 I beleive and you are using .32 on the gap? I was just wondering if there was any difference or if it affected the performance if I was to go above the .28.

you can, I picked it up at majestic dallas, cost about 5 bucks it's stainless steel, but as long as the surface are clean and flat, you'll be okay without it...

the main thing is teh exhaust manifold gasket and oil pan gasket, you'll need to replace both, you can pick them up at any honda/acura dealer..

and when you ready, you can post here, I wouldn't mind giving a hand....
I'd like to help..
