What size compressor ?
dont look at HP numbers look at how big the tank is...Volume is the key for your application. HP just determines how fast the compressor fills up the tank to the max # of psi set.

I think your gonna need to sustain 10 cfm at 40 psi to be able to paint efficiently. Also a large tank so you dont have to recharge. A minimum of 60 gallon, some people say 60 is to small for painting a whole car. I just bought this http://www.higherpowersupplies...T6195 cause i plan on painting body parts first then i may try a whole car when i get some experience.
