what do you guys with h series swaps do about catalytic converters?
From looking at civics the cats wont work with an h series but that doesnt even matter cause i bought my car motorless with no cat. I have to pass inspection to get plates once my motor is in so my question is what are my options? cause if im not mistaken you cant pass inspection unless you have the OEM cat. So do i have to buy the cat from honda? I hope not because thats about 400 bucks. any help is appreciated

I was quoted a little over $1100 for an OEM Honda cat converter 
So yeah, just buy a used cat from somebody, like Si/GS-R/ITR (I believe the inlets are a little wider than SOHC and LS cats).

i have a jackson racing cat and it passes in nj. theyre fairly strict here but still no cali. i guess as long as you have a cat it should visually pass, and as long as it does its job, itll pass emissions. actually, come to think about it, theyre considerably cheaper than oem and (supposedly) flow better, but i dunno if theres one for your app.

i have one of the obd1 cats and it works great. allthough i will need to buy an obd2 one when i go to get my setup bar legal.

i have a motor from an older car, ran my h22 with open header all winter, my lip scrapes the ground everywhere, we have no fromt plates, we have NO emissions controlls, i've never been pulled over ever, and you can pound the stereo, just DONT HAVE MORE THAN 20% TINT oo0o00o0o0o0oo0
