Default 230whp N/A...Is it possible?

I have a base model 98 prelude. I want to make power but i really want to stay away from forced induction. My car is a daily driver (and my only car) so it needs to keep with the whole reliability issue. I have $1000 to spend on performance parts and this is some stuff i was thinking about.
Skunk2 Racing intake manifold---$325
Type S Pistons and rings---$400
WeaponR Dragon intake---$95
Crower Stage 2 Cams---$640

So what stuff would you guys get for a stock 98 lude for about $1000?

Thanks for the help!

You will need new valvetrain to run those cams safely, and prolly a manual tensioner conversion.

And money for fuel management and tuning.

you shouldn't even worry about a intake manifold until you have head work.
just get your stock one ported if you're on a tight budget.

just get a cheap ebay intake and put a k&n filter

good choice, but your also gonna have to take into consideration
you'll probably want cam gears, you'll need a vafc or some other
kind of engine management to tune the cams, then you'll need
someone to tune it. this alone is gonna run over 1k

it's not cheap by any means to build a high hp all motor lude.

of you're shooting for 230whp, it's gonna cost more like 4-5k.

read up on lone luders thread in the sticky's
that should lead you in the right direction

get all the bolt ons and then go for high compression and lots of tuning, tuning and more tuning. then p&p the head
i think one of the sponsors are doing it for $420 for porting a head and thats an awesome price.

porting a head + cams + high compression +tuning = power
then get the skunk2 IM

you dont need the cam gears junk if your going with crower cams because they are supposed to work best at 0/0

you'll need good cams and better pistons than that, which involves sleeving.
