ABS light stays on as i drive... is that normal?
When i turn the car on, the ABS light just comes on and stays on as i drive, any idea what this means? and how could i check the codes to find out?

Use this link to check the code: http://bseries.net/html/garage/engcode.php . It's the same procedure for ABS codes. Just count the flashes from the ABS light.
Once you get the code, post it up and we can try to determine the problem.

Not necessarily true. It could be low fluid in the ABS reservoir, but has nothing to do with brake pads. If the original poster's car is a 94-97, the most common problems are either a faulty/leaking accumulator or a bad wheel sensor.

mine used to do that too...abs light comes on when i drive and after awhile...dies...then comes back and forth....now its gone and never seen it...so far Ive ignored it...never new what the issue was...
